When website is a bridge between School and General Public, this sub site called Web App is a bridge between School and Parents. It is mainly designed for mobile devices, but need not to download from Play store or App store.
Just open Google Chrome or similar browser and visit app.schoolwebsite.com. Go to settings (3 dots on right top corner), select 'Add to Home Screen'. That's it. It creates an icon on mobile home screen. School messages will be displayed to parents simply by touching the icon. Class messages, Student messages and Homework will be displayed after Parent Login using Student Admission Number (or Parent Mobile Number) and given Passcode. Facilities for Upcoming Events and Education News are also included in Web App. Optionally, “Preference and Suggestions” can also be received from Parents as two way communication.
It is a foolproof system and messages never missed due network/ communication failures. They are stored in Website database and served to visitors at a lightning speed. Web App can be used on any number of mobile devices available in a house.
The only disadvantage with the Web App is, it requires internet connectivity. Of course, now a day 3G is going too discontinued and 4G works on Volte which requires Internet connectivity.
